There are many ways to fit wooden interior plantation shutters. This can include the wooden shutters being fitted within the reveal, on it...or on the outside of it.
Interior wooden plantation shutters are made square unless it's for a particular shaped window. A subsided or tilted window sill can not be hidden. Frames are mainly used as this offers the best way of fitting. UK houses are 90% made of brick, block and plaster. Plastering is never straight so using frames elevates many of these difficulties.
There is a DIY option for your wooden interior plantation shutters: measure correctly, understand all your design options and contact us for advice.
Our screws and hinges are especially made for Long Island Shutters' interior wooden plantation
ranges and are all colour coded. Any combination of hinges and shutters can be ordered. We can
also provide marine grade stainless steel for wooden interior plantation shutters used in damp
conditions.
Long Island interior wooden plantation shutters are made in a traditional style using tilt rods to
position the blades. Tilt rods can be positioned in three places on these interior wooden plantation shutters. We also offer an option of having a concealed mechanism for a clean-lined modern look to your stylish interior plantation shutters. To open and close the blades, simply move one louvre and they all move together.
Interior plantation shutters and partitions can be installed on tracks. A spring-loaded, precision-engineered roller enables panels to glide smoothly across the ceiling or floor. These tracks can be fitted to surfaces or hidden in recesses. A bottom tracking rail is not necessary on some of the products.
